Which city will you go? Last time I did it in CJ.
I went there one day earlier, crossed the boarder, paid the fee first.
The 2nd day I went again, but this time to the embassy directly.
For reasons, just tell them it's difficult to arrange an appointment that fits your tight schedule in China.
Actually the VOs all know why you come to apply for visa....If they are in good moods, they'll let you go la.

我去CJ 签过，不过也是两年前的事儿了。那里的银行距离使馆挺近的，走路过去也就两三个block,不到二十分钟的事儿吧。银行里面交钱手续也挺麻利迅速的，几分钟就能搞定。如果你时间紧，可以打车去使馆，用不了十分钟。
至于“为什么去墨西哥签证”，签证官很少会问到这个问题，因为基本上他们也知道是怎么回事儿。如果实在问起，你可以说是回去的时间/假期非常短，家在外地，来不及去办签证。
mitbbs上overseas版的精华区里有不少好的经验介绍，mm可以去看看。那里也有介绍梁老板的服务，他可以提前替你交费，安排一下住宿什么的。
