My bf told me he started writing diary since when he was in middle school or high school.
I've fogot the exact time.
And he used to write diary everyday!
Now since he is busy, only do that once a week.
He said, so far, he has had over 20 books of biary.
When he told me this, I thought he was a very sensitive person
and started to falling for him from then, hehe :-)

But one point, never share your diary with your partner.
Indeed, that's how my bf broke up with his first girfiriend.

sometimes when bf discovered my diary, there was a fight...
but most of times...he said it is a fun read...like a novel...
it is just that i have to hide it out of his sight...or his reach or his rummage...

well, when thinking that one day he might be reading what i wrote...
it did affect what i wrote down...sometimes...
i may especially withheld writing about him or his family...
so i dont' really like the idea of blogging...
knowing other people would read...that is not a diary any more...

小时候跟两个好朋友交换过日记看，好不容易居然日记也有读者，感觉还挺好的。日记这东西，真是隐私和交流的矛盾统一。
我也觉得日记和blog不是一类东西，同意robinsnow说的写日记的更自恋，我觉得写blog的更exhibitionist.

super agree! to me, blog is so different because you are writing to an audience, and there
is certain reservation. further, what if the server crashes and you lost all your data? hmm
i'd be super devastated!

lastly, i already spent way too much time online these days, no reason to spend more. i
prefer writing my diary in the comfort of my own bed or couch.
