is it possible to diy to re-surface the fireplace from ugly black-painted wood to marble?
lg showed me some marble he got from a "friend", he wants to use them on the bsmt wall for a wet bar, but I want to have the fireplace re-surfaced first...

i think it is doable, you can check with sales person in Home Depot for how to do it or find some books to read first.
