Job Title          :    Escalation Engineer – Windows ServerOS

Group              :   Platform Support Group

Hiring Manager      :    Platform Escalation Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

-          Receive escalated, technically complex mission critical or politically hot customer issues, and maintain ownership of issue until resolved completely.

-          Use trace analysis, source code, and other sophisticated debugging tools to analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs; may involve writing code.

-          Key technical interface to Quick Fix Engineering (QFE) and Development for the resolution of high impact or pervasive issues effecting Microsoft’s corporate clients.

-          Act as technical lead, mentor, and role model on a team of engineers; provide direction to others, review solutions and articles, etc.

-          Maintain strong working knowledge of pre-release products and take ownership for product improvement in key product areas.

Qualifications:

-          3+ years experienced in C/C++ programming and debugging.

-          Experienced in Windows DDk/SDK/Win32 programming, data structure and algorithm.

-          Familiar with Computer Operating System architecture, Windows User/Kernel Mode components.

-          Strong analytical logic and problem troubleshooting skills.

-          Good communication in both verbal and written English.
