Location is more imporatant than what you think.
Just move out and you will have a bunch of opportunities!

一个朋友在中部找了5个月，还是拿到一个这边的offer, 也来了加州
我6-7个朋友都是opt时候专门来加州找工作，还是比较顺利的，专业都是ee or cs/ce
不懂，找工作不都靠上网么？不在CA也可以找呀？我的CA的朋友让我用她家的地址。不知有没有用处。

I also use friends' address. The HR will call you to set up an interview. If you said you are not there right now they will say sth like: "y don't you give us a call when you move here"which means local candidates only. If you tell them you are there while you are not, they will not pay you anything for the interview.
MM来加州吧，这里很多华人JMS，来了很快就会习惯的。
唯一的问题是，如果MM将来在加州定居的话，买房子会是个大问题，这里的房子太贵了。
