[求助] How to deal with recruiter?

Sorry, I can't input Chinese in my machine.

I'm thinking about changing my job. A professional recruiter has contacted me recently. She asked for a copy of my updated resume. But, I don't know about her and I'm a little hesitated. I don't believe she has a position for me now. She told me that if she has a opportunity for me (in the near future), she would contact me first and I can decide if I want to apply, then she will forward my resume to that company. Is that common? Should I send her resume until she has some openings for me? The bottom line is: I don't want my boss know of this.

I would love to hear about your experience, if there is any.

Any information will help ! Thanks a lot !

Well if you have any experience working with recruiters, you'll know that's the standard routine how they work.

You can hold back if you don't plan to seek any help from recruiters at all. If you know, u need to send resumes out first.
