周围邻居的房子９０％都重建了豪宅。今天收到村里的信说我家的property tax降了。大家知道怎么回事吗？邻居多交税，别人就可以少交税了是吗？

是的，我的理解是你所在的town需要的钱总量是一定的，其他的人交的多了，你就交的少了。

我们今年整个town也降了不多就降了一两百块钱一年市长还特意发给每个居民一封信很骄傲他的政绩应该是town 里发展commercial 开发了一个新的经历来源

I don't know if it is state-wide or nation-wide. Our property tax was dropped by a few thousand dollars.

我家也是。我们的买价比成交前的 assessed value 还高，今年的assessed value反而更低了。关键是我们 town的微信群大家都生气今年税提高了，我都不敢吱声。猜想中国人喜欢新（大）房，这些房子的税被提高，使得我们可以少交点税了？
