The Olympic village is amazing, and I'm deeply impressed with the fantastic facilities here," said John Philip Gichigci, who has covered the past six Olympic Games since 1984 and started his second-day tour at the Bejing Olympic Village on Monday.  The sprawling complex, which runs 800 meters from north to south and 900 meters from west to east, is only 20 minutes walk northwest of two main venues - the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. The distance is one of the shortest in all Olympics.

    Besides the barbershop, the Village also contains a main restaurant that can feed 5,000 people, teahouses, coffee shops, a post office, shops, library, bank and a clinic.

Having a good time, guys? Maybe you need a good hairdo for receiving a medal and getting on TV in front of 6 billion people? (I'm wrong, not all people have TVs, or electricity. I don't have the stats on this one, though.)

Jogging outside in the morning (without a mask?! God bless some American cyclists' fragile lungs), having fun in the game room, playing balls, there are more than one way to have a good workout. I couldn't figure out what game it is to play the drums, but most peopel seem satisfied with a game station. :)
