this is the same virus as chickenpox. Children usually don't get vaccinated for chickenpox till 1 year old. Please limit contact with infants. Also the anti-viral drug is only effective within the first 72 hrs so you need to act quick. Do not have the shingles vaccine till your mom is fully, fully recovered, Or else, it might trigger shingles again.
