Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice, Petite Cuisine Southwest Chicken Firecrackers, or
the Petite Cuisine Chucken Poblano Firecracker at your local Costco. warehouse between
May 1, 2014 and May 8, 2016.
Ajinomoto Windsor Inc. and the FDA is voluntarily recalling these items with Best By dates from
May 1, 2016 through May 7, 2017 due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
Out of an abundance of caution, Ajinomoto Windsor is voluntarily recalling these items which may
contain frozen vegetables it received from CRF Frozen Foods that are part of the recent national
CRF Frozen Foods recall.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young
children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy
individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness,
nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among
pregnant women.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these items. If you have
any of these items left in your freezer, don’t eat them, return them to your local Costco for a full
refund.
