I think it is a very good place to have family. And also a good Chinese community with Chinese school, grocery stores, and several good Chinese restaurants. Of course not comparable to the east or west, but it is pretty good for a mid-western city. Just not much art life going around.

Generally, areas to the north and west of Ohio State University are safe.
