This is easy to fix. Call the CBP (usually at airport) Deferred Inspection Unit and explain the problem. They'll ask you to go there. They can fix it right there. If you are far away from her entry port, try calling your local CBP first and see if they can fix it there. I'm pretty sure that at least the CBP at her entry airport can easily fix this.
