If the monitor screen gets dark as soon as the laptop goes on battery,
you can adjust the system setting to change the perference. My
laptop used to do that as well and I fixed it. My laptop is not
here right now so I cannot find out exactly where to make the change,
but look around in the setting part. Or maybe you just manual
adjust the brightness and it will work as well.
