How could you know she will lose herself? You think it is still happy marriage with a husband like that? I support C 100%. She is a smart girl and really knows what she wants to do.  To have a family does not mean you have to lose yourself.  C has her new goal and she is trying her best to achieve that.  It is nothing wrong to work hard for your dream.
