MM needs to inprove your English
yes, that's what i am doing~
lz mm真是个有趣的人。看了第一篇，觉得mm很积极向上，很好，再看第二篇，就乐了-- mm真是年轻，很沉不住气呀！其实你们VP说得挺有道理的，你看你自己不也承认了吗，工作时间短，没有主动地要求工作，或是改进工作。所以这次的fixing bug是个很好的开头呢！
至于提高英语，我一开始在这里也是发英文帖子有点为了提高英文的意思，告诉你个窍门，不仅要写，更重要的是要改。我都是写完发了一看，有语法错误，赶紧又重新编辑，经常改好几遍，因为老有错，所以那会的帖子全都被编辑过。不是特别确定的单词还要查字典（www.m-w.com)。自己觉得还是挺有用的。另外发Email也要检查一遍再发，尤其是给高级领导的。我们自己不觉得，可是读惯了英语的人一眼就会看到文法错误，如果再给人感觉自己都没有检查过，会令人觉得缺乏尊重。
另外推荐俩本小书，都是可以两天就翻完的，讲的是如何写清楚简单的英语， 和美国这边通用的用法：
1。The elements of style, by William Strunk Jr. --Amamzon 卖9块钱，着重讲如何清楚明了地表达意思，很经典的一本书。
2. Rules for Writers, by Diana Hacker --是本科生写作的常用教材，非常清楚简单，还有许多标点符号的用法。

这本书网上有copy。我有一份，但不知道全不全。可以email给要的人，如果没人觉得不好的话。也觉得挺有帮助的，特别是如何写得简练。

我也提点建议吧，如果你要学英文，你现在既然在公司里面，那么没事把别人发来的email, 你觉得不错的，好好看看。说的又是你们公司的事，这是最合适的教材了。一般比较高层的管理者，writing还是比较好的。

eeeemmmm... just to remind... being simple and straight forward is also important for a working professional.
It is easy to deal with peers, such as American colleagues in the same dept, or jms in this board, but it may be harder to establishthe credibility with supervisors and clients if you go through all those trivial details.
Jobs will come to you. be patient

Since we decided to make a living in US, at least for now, we have to work harder than what we are supposed to be in our motherland...However, my classmates in china also complain a lot about the overwhelming work load. sigh, no matter where we are, whick choice we made, all drills down to the fact that life is not easy unless you were born with a gold spoon in your mouth.
