顺便搜了一下当年的信件， 最后一段明明白白写了警方有信心open court 给凶手定罪而且看上去宿舍盗窃案是凶手所为evidently . 这就很清楚了。 案子如果没破应该为悬案， 而该案却是私下里开会结案， 卡在了公安和法庭之间。

  The article begins with the 1st time publication of the Beida similar
cases happened in last Juhn.
  The article states, had the 21 years old criminal not surrendered
himself to the police and told the doctors Prussian blue treatment must
be timely taken, the fate of his two classmate victims ¡ªLu Chen-Guang
and Jiang Lin would have been unimaginable!

  The article recalls the long delay of the arrival of the due clinical
test report (by Dr. Cheng Zhen-yang)for Thallium-poisoning in Zhu Ling*s
case which (by Dr. Li Shuen-Wei)¡°highly doubted ¡±in 95 March.
  The article also states that the Committee of Education of the State
Council delivered a notice denoting that in addition to the suspected
criminals, Thallium salt had not been well kept and controlled according
to due regulations was an importuned cause of such cases.
   The article states:
   Now three years passed by, this girl who played the Chinese musical
instrument in the Musical Hall of Beijing is still suffering in heavy
illness. She is almost blind. Her speech is not audible except to her
kin''s family members. Even more desperate for her is that her
consciousness is almost entirely recovered. She knows that her life had
been attempted .Such a feeling ofcourse made her heart-broken.
   By the way, I think you might have heard that the police have
hitherto suspected a certain girl as the criminal who had been the
classmate and roommate of Zhu -Ling. They said there*re yet less than
1%¡°hard ware¡±evidence,something like finger-nail prints for instances
, lacking because of the stuff in her dormitory were spoiled evidently
by the suspected criminal herself who had taken advantage of the too
late arrival of the clinical report authorizing it a poisoning case.
   Neverthlless,the police said they will never give up and have enough
self-confidence to win the case before an open court and have the
criminal sentenced.
   Let all of us hope they win! O.K.?
