I am in a so-so university with a relatively big boss for my PhD. Last week, I got an offer from the top 1 PHD program in my field.
I has been thinking about the choice for several days. Can u guys give me some advice?
At first, I planned to give up this chance because there is no suitalbe place for my husband in that area. He will graduate 2-3 years later. If I stay here, I need 4-5 more years to graduate. Right now, we have a 4.5 hours drive distance.
However, after talking with some people, including with some experts in my field, I felt that program is much better than the program I am in now.
By the way, the new university is 8 hours drive or 4 hours fly from my husband.
What can I do?

The new one is at top 1.
At least, we will seperate for 3 years with almost 5 hours drive.
We had planned to get together after my hubby graduates and find a postdoc near me. But this is not so sure right now.
But now, I think, after graduation from top 1 school, I can find a jov relatively easily, and have a better chance to get a job near my husband.
My husband, at the beginning, asked to graduate as soon as possible, namely 4 years here. And then, take a postdoc in a better lab in my field and go out for jobhunting. But, he isnot against if I go to the new one. He asked to think about if I can endure when I am in blue and want to go home. Yes, he knows me much. In this soso program, I alwsys feel depressed and go home asking relief from him.
I am thinking that since 你们本来就是分开的, I'd like to take more time to get into that top program.
And, to be honest, my major is easier to find a job than my husband's.
