I found this online,

Titles in the Professor of (e.g., Psychology) in-Residence series are assigned to academically qualified research or other creative personnel who engage in teaching, research, and University service to the same extent as those holding the corresponding titles in the professorial series in the same department"

有些是professor in residence. 这个是什么意思？客座教授？可人家才是2年前毕业的phd.

要做客座，必须在一个学校取得教授，或者社会上比较有名气的，才可以到另外一个学校做客座吧。
