IT背景的MBA

I agree with hhmouse. It's a little waste to pursue MBA for project
manager position. In my opinion, almost anyone, literally, can work as
a project manager. It doesn't require any hard skills, of course, if
you have IT background, that will be a plus. But I've just seen more
people without tech background who do well as project managers. It
requires more soft skills, like hhmouse mentioned, if you are 精明能干(BTW,
someone tell me how to express this in English?
), good at communication and people interaction, and work hard just like on any other position. There are a lot of PM related knowledge but no one is strictly following it. The PMP certificate may help but it also largely depends on your experiences and your people skills.

It seems to me that if you are not going technical, then communication skill is the #1 priority. A MBA degress is not gonna be as helpful unless you want to change your career path completely to the business world. ALso a part time MBA is said to have much less effect if you want to go into the business world. A large percentage of Par-time MBA graduates end up in their original industry with similar functional roles.
