We are using Beijing math right now.  Prior to that, we just gave him additions/subtractions/multiplications(no divisions yet) excises.  When we just started beijing math, we realized our kid is so bad at word problems, even simple ones are confusing to him at first.

Now, after couple excises, he starts to enjoy the questions more.
