Oh you want some, too? No sorry, these are the last slices. I have to knock over some skinny gymnasts to get the duck. It's no good for them. They shouldn't eat too much in the first place.

Food safety is a big issue. A tracking system is established so that when a person swipes the card to purchase food, what he or she eats, nutrition facts, ingredients, where it has been processed and distributed, even the place where the produce was from, are all kept in the system. It sounds paranoiac, but as a CNN contributer says, "a little bit of paranoia is normal in Olympics". I know she is talking about the dirty politics, but it applies to stir-fried rice and pizzas, too.
On the first day, 3000 kilograms of stir-fried rice was consumed. Bon Appetit, and watch out your figure!!
What are you so psyched about? Looks like a slice of pizza and, Italian beef??
Desserts--looks like fruits with rice cakes, healthy healthy. It reminds me of my college cafeteria. It looks exactly the same!

Mini mooncakes, anyone? Mid-autumn (or Moon) Festival near, it's so nostalgic. Besides, they are high in protein and low in fat. Recommended for gymnasts. Fillings include eggyolk, red bean, coconut.

今天结束!
I'm such an inefficient person! So far I'm still beating around the bushes. Tomorrow I'll work on people, which hopefully will be more interesting.
Today is still in the village:
Liuxiang: In the Olympics Village, star power is everywhere. Here at the newsstand, issues of Time (I guess the Asia version) featuring Chinese track star LiuXiang on the cover are sold.
[upload=jpg,liuxiang.jpg]UploadFile/2008-8/20088804741739.jpg[/upload]Vending machines: OMG we have adopted the Japanese omnipotent vending machines—ice cream, noodles, meal box (which I guess is something like the popular lunch box in China and Japan—some rice, vegetables, meat or fish), popcorn, hotdogs, beer, etc. The only thing seems missing is condoms, and I’m not joking, some people are complaining. This brings us to the next pictures.
