决定选brace了

关于我不理解的那一点，为啥说我的overjet会是0，但是又不能整到另一个案例的那个程度，也就是Your teeth will not move back as far as the picture you show，后来我又问医生了，他又解释了一下：You had a lot more crowding. Most of your spacing on the lower will be needed just to align your teeth. There will be little space left to move the lower front teeth back into.
Therefore the upper teeth can only go back until they touch the lower front teeth. So the amount of retraction of your upper teeth is limited to where the lower teeth are and how much space you will have on the upper after the crowding is accounted for. I hope this helps explain it better.

我咋觉得有点悲催呢，意思就是说我的牙齿太拥挤了（牙床太小），只能整到这个程度了，整完后还是会有一些凸出（但是牙齿会比现在好看不少，没那么凸，而且咬合整齐了）。 大家看我理解的对吗？
前段时间看到几个关于整牙的帖子，我也来咨询求下建议

我牙齿很乱，下牙很拥挤很乱，上牙前牙龅牙很严重，比下牙突出6mm。后面有附上准备做invisalign拍的整牙预期效果图，不要被我的乱牙吓到啊，遗传的没办法啊，哭。

咨询过的医生，有两个都说先拔牙，brace或者invisalign随便选哪一个都可以，效果也是一样；有一个医生比较保守，不拔牙，先brace后invisalign，我没考虑。之前没怎么做研究，觉得invisalign方便美观一些，决定用Invisalign。已经在医生建议下拔完部分牙后在网上查，好多人都说brace整龅牙效果更好，更适合复杂的整牙case！而invisalign主要是能把牙齿排整齐，整龅牙效果好像不是很明显。昨天联系医生办公室要到了医生的email，告诉他我特别看重的点——就是要整龅牙，并问了他几个问题，他一早很详细的回复了。我又追问了一下并得到回复。需要整牙的JM们可以参考看一下。

总结就是，他还是认为两者效果一样，整后上牙能back 7mm，下牙也会back一些，就是没有龅牙了，但是他又说Your teeth will not move back as far as the picture you show，既然都没龅牙了，还存在will not move back as far as someone吗？。只是brace时间短7个月，比invisalign难清理，价格也是一样的5080刀，如果我选clear brace就再加400刀。

如果效果真的是一样的，我想选择invisalign，但是我很怀疑这一点，效果真的会一样吗？？？不想选了invisalign，花钱遭罪做完后效果不明显。求有经验的JM们给点建议，到底哪个效果更好，更适合我，谢谢啦！


1. The effect after the treatment

2. How does the treatment (brace or retainer) influence my normal life?
The first week of braces or Invisalign is difficult due to the teeth becoming loose so they can move. Nothing more than advil is needed for discomfort. Speech should not be an issue. Eating of soft foods the first week is advised. Cleaning is more difficult for obvious reasons. So braces are more difficult than Invisalign for this reason.

3. How long the treatment takes? I feel braces would be quicker than Invisalign. My estimate for treatment with braces is 21 months and Invisalign 28.

4. the cost? $5,080 This includes everything from the active treatment to 2 years post-treatment while in retention.

The key is to retract the upper anterior teeth without allowing the back teeth to move forward. The further the back teeth move forward the less one can move the front teeth back.

The overjet can be reduced 100%. It may require your wearing some elastics which is typical with orthodontics.

I have never seen one of my patients develop sleep apnea in 38 years. Of course those patients who gain a lot of weight can also develop apnea independent of orthodontic treatment.

All things considered, it is probably better to use braces like you see below instead of Invisalign but both can be used.

Are the costs the same for either brace or invisalign? Yes . There are different braces, will the cost be different if I choose different brace, such as clear brace? The only premium we charge is clear is $400 more than metal or Invisalign.
All things considered, it is probably better to use braces like you see below instead of Invisalign but both can be used. Is that only because brace treatment takes 7 month shorter time? Yes
